Brand Photoshoot with Gluten Free Bakery

My love of photography and my love of food merged recently when I got to join Ambrosial Treats for a Brand Photography session at her Gluten Free Bakery that she recently opened in Provo, Utah. Working with small businesses is one of my favorite things because I get to take a deep dive into their business and photograph what they love doing day after day.

The owner of the bakery was a bit nervous about getting her photo taken, but she knew it was important for her audience to see who was behind the delicious treats. I reassured her that we were going to have fun and capture some amazing shots that would showcase her personality and brand.

She has this amazingly bright pink wall in the bakery that I thought was the perfect backdrop to fit her personality.

Next, we moved on to some action shots of her baking. Once she felt a little more comfortable in front of the camera I was able to work it more of her personality into the photos and get some really fun shots with her getting a little more messy.

These shots would be perfect for the bakery’s website and social media pages.

Brand photos are crucial for small businesses because they set the tone for what customers can expect when doing business with them. The photos we captured would show potential customers that the bakery was not only gluten-free but also fun, friendly, and passionate about their treats.

I got to try some of the treats and I can’t believe how delicious they were! My neighbor told me later that she was her favorite gluten free baker so I’m glad she’ll have these images to gain a larger audience and invite more people into her bakery.

I love that I got to tell her brand story and showcase her bakery and love of cooking but also that gluten free isn’t just wrapped treats in the grocery store.
