Summer is a season of warmth, joy, and cherished moments with loved ones. As a family photographer based in Utah County, I am thrilled to announce that I will be hosting my highly anticipated Lavender Field Mini Sessions for a second year in a row. Nestled in the heart of Mona, Utah, these enchanting sessions offer a unique opportunity to capture stunning family portraits amidst the vibrant and fragrant lavender blooms. Imagine strolling through a picturesque landscape, surrounded by a sea of purple blooms and a soothing scent in the air. No need to go to France for Lavender Fields. Just drive about 40 minutes south of Lehi, Utah for The Lavender Fields in Mona, Utah. They provide an idyllic backdrop for your family photos and will have everyone on social media drooling. Thanks to the recent rainfall, this year’s lavender blooms are expected to be even more spectacular, making it the perfect time to capture unforgettable memories.
To ensure an intimate and undisturbed photography experience, exclusive access to the lavender fields has been arranged. This means we won’t have to worry about any unwanted distractions while we create timeless portraits for your family. Or fight through crowds to get the best spot.
Timing is everything when it comes to capturing the essence of a moment. For the best lighting conditions and the most magical atmosphere, it’s recommended to schedule your mini session about 1-2 hours before sunset. The soft golden hour light will enhance the natural beauty of the lavender, creating a dreamy and ethereal effect in your family photographs. Luckily, I’ve already scheduled the mini sessions during the best time 6-8 PM.
To ensure your family shines in every frame, it’s important to consider outfit choices that harmonize with the lavender field’s surroundings. The purple hues of the flowers will really pop, so opting for neutral colors such as whites, creams, pastels, or earthy tones will complement the lavender beautifully. Too many colors along with the purple can look chaotic. Some people chose light blues in their outfits which I thought worked really well.
I’ve been doing mini sessions around Utah for a long tome so I’ve not only got the mini session timing down to a science but I’m able to pose, prompt, and look out for little details in that short amount of time that will make these family photos in Utah stand out more than your average photographer.
