• When do lavender fields bloom in Utah?
Lavender fields in Utah typically bloom from late June through mid-July, depending on weather and elevation. This short bloom window makes early booking important.
• Are lavender field sessions good for young children?
Yes. Lavender fields provide open space where children can move naturally, which helps create authentic and playful family photos. There ARE bees and crickets around. But being a beekeeper myself I make sure to tell children nervous of bees that magic “trick” just stand really still and bees will just pass you by as if they can’t even see you. If you scream and panic then they could get grumpy.
• Do lavender farms require reservations for photography?
The Young Living Farm in Mona, Utah does require a $75 photo pass for an hour. Spots are limited so it’s best to book your spot early before they run out! If you’re wanting a mini session don’t worry! I’ve already reserved a spot and paid the fee so you don’t have to!
