You're enthusiastic Family and Brand Photographer based out of Lehi, Utah. Ready to dive into your vision for your images. I love sharing my knowledge that I've gained after being a professional for over 10 years! Send me your questions!
You’ve done the hard part. The business is set up, the ingredients are ordered, you’ve hired help and you’re running a business that has to do with your passion: food. But how do you reach more people? How do I take better photos of my food? Now more than ever an online presence of businesses plays a pivotal role in attracting customers. One powerful tool that is gaining momentum in the marketing world is brand photography. As a passionate food photographer based in Salt Lake City, Utah, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing food photos of numerous restaurants and food establishments. It has combined two great loves in my life, food and photography.
When it comes to food, visuals play a vital role in stimulating desire and creating an emotional connection with potential customers. Merely presenting a menu with static images is no longer enough. And please don’t get me started on people that are posting poor quality, badly lit, food photos and just hoping no one notices. Do you know why people STILL go to McDonalds and Carl’s Jr? They see one of those beautiful photos and bam they are craving that nasty food. (ok ok it’s actually good sometimes…) That’s where brand photography steps in.
I got to work with this local restaurant in Midway, Utah to create lifestyle photos that captured their brand messaging. Rather than focusing solely on traditional menu items. To achieve this, we incorporated models who authentically enjoyed the food. By showcasing individuals indulging in the culinary delights, potential customers can now view the photos with a sense of envy and realize that they too would like to go to this place and have a good time!
I was also able to go into the kitchen and capture some behind the scenes footage. Everyone is curious what goes on there but rarely is a customer allowed to go back there. The scenes were photographed in real time with the kitchen staff laughing and having a good time. Further projecting the idea that when you come to THIS restaurant, everyone will have a good time.
Brand photography is not limited to capturing food alone; it extends to showcasing the entire restaurant. By photographing the establishment inside and out, I provided a comprehensive visual representation of the dining experience. From the welcoming entrance to the tastefully designed interior, each image was carefully composed to highlight the unique atmosphere and ambiance of the venue.
These images serve as social proof, illustrating that the restaurant is a place where happiness and satisfaction abound. When potential customers see others enjoying themselves, they are more likely to envision themselves in those photos and be motivated to visit the restaurant.
In the ever-evolving world of digital marketing, brand photography has emerged as a powerful tool for businesses. By going beyond simple menu items and capturing the lifestyle surrounding food, businesses can elevate their online presence and attract more customers. Through my recent collaboration Midway Mercantile restaurant, we successfully integrated models enjoying the food, captured behind-the-scenes moments, and showcased the venue’s unique atmosphere. If you’re a restaurant owner or food truck operator looking for a skilled food photographer in Salt Lake City, Utah, who can capture the essence of your brand and entice potential customers, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
