Spring will be here before you know it and it’s the perfect time to capture some fabulous family photos! But if you’re like me, freezing and dreaming of warmer weather, choosing outfits for the whole family can be a daunting task. That’s why I’ve put together some outfit tips to help planning and choosing those outfits so much easier!
I found this fantastic website that can help you get ready for your next family photography session https://styleyouroccasion.com/spring-family-photo-outfits/
Whether you’re looking to go all out with a dressy look or keep things more casual, there’s an option for everyone. Let’s take a look at some of the outfits that will have your family looking picture-perfect:
Blues and Whites: You can really never go wrong with blues. They look good on everyone. Generally everyone in the family will have some form of blue already in their closet. And it goes with any backdrop on family photos.
Pinks: Pink has been on my mind as I’m sitting here looking at the snow falling outside my window 🙁 But I think pinks whites and tans go perfect with each other and can really make a statement especially if you’re like me and you like to wear bright colors but your husband is more reserved.
Floral Prints: Spring is all about florals! A floral maxi dress is perfect for mom, while dad can wear a navy blazer, white dress shirt, and beige dress pants. Little ones can wear a floral dress or a light blue dress shirt paired with navy pants.
Neutral Tones: If you want a more understated look, go for neutral tones. This can be a great look if your backdrop is full of florals. Mom can look chic in a beige jumpsuit paired with nude sandals and gold bangle bracelets, while dad can look sophisticated in a light gray dress shirt and beige dress pants. Kids can wear an ivory dress or a beige sweater paired with navy pants.
Denim and White: You can never go wrong with a classic denim and white outfit combo. Mom can wear a white blouse and light wash denim jeans paired with brown ankle boots, while dad can wear a white button-down shirt and dark wash denim jeans paired with brown loafers. Little ones can wear a white dress or a white button-down shirt paired with dark wash denim jeans.
When it comes to shopping for outfits, keep in mind that you don’t need to break the bank to look great. Stores like Target, Old Navy, and H&M offer stylish and affordable clothing options for the whole family.
One important tip to keep in mind is to pick out mom’s outfit first and plan the rest of the outfits around hers. Let’s be honest, we all know who’s pushing family photos… and I know it’s not your teenage son… So splurge on yourself first!
With these outfit options, you’re sure to have a fun and stress-free family photo shoot. So go ahead and capture those precious memories that you’ll cherish for years to come!
